Privacy
This page says what the site records about your visit, what it keeps in your browser and how to turn measurement off.
What we measure
We use Google Analytics to see which pages and prompts people use. It records the address of the page, the time of the visit, the country and city your connection points to, your browser and device type, and actions such as copying a prompt or choosing a filter.
What you type in the search box is not recorded and never becomes part of a page address. When you search, Google Analytics receives only the number of prompts that matched.
The advertising features of Google Analytics are switched off on this site. It is told not to use the data for ad personalization.
Cookies that measure website use
Google Analytics sets two cookies: _ga and _ga_2SZFWJ2NNN. Each holds a random number that tells a returning browser from a new one. They last up to two years.
What stays in your browser
pd-statsin local storage: your choice to turn measurement off, kept until you turn it back on.pd-findin session storage: a search you start from a page without a prompt list, so the library can show the results. It is removed as soon as the library reads it.
Sponsored blocks
Some pages show blocks marked Sponsored, including a small video card in a corner of the screen. They are loaded from our advertising partner. To choose what to show, the partner receives the address of the page you are on, the language of the page and the place of the block on it. As with any web request, your IP address is part of the request. When a block is shown or clicked, and when a video is played, the partner counts it.
Sponsored blocks do not set cookies of their own. They keep a few notes in session storage, for example that you closed the video card, and these are gone when you close the tab.
